Women Empowerment

Building Grassroots Women Leaders

In partnership with Centre for Catalyzing Change, Sankalp Jyoti mentors Elected Women Representatives (EWRs) to become champions for health, nutrition, and governance in their communities.

EWRs are women elected to local Panchayati Raj Institutions who often lack the training and support to effectively use their positions. This program bridges that gap by providing mentoring, capacity building, and leadership training.

The program focuses on health and nutrition advocacy, helping EWRs understand government schemes, monitor Integrated Child Development Services (ICDS), ensure proper functioning of Anganwadi centres, and advocate for maternal and child health.

  • Leadership and governance training for EWRs
  • Health and nutrition awareness capacity building
  • Monitoring of ICDS and Anganwadi services
  • Advocacy for maternal and child health programs
  • Building networks among women leaders
  • Coordination with government health departments
